  • Senior Builder

    Job Responsibilities:


    Building rapport with customers and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the building process,

    Managing and inspecting the quality of work that is performed by subcontractors,

    Maintain a professional, clean and organized job site

    Oversee worker productivity & compliance with building/safety codes

    Prepare daily, monthly & quarterly reports

    Prior residential production building experience 5-10 years of field management preferred

    Experience in effectively communicating with and interacting with customers, as well as a sales team,

    Ability to manage, as well as inspect the quality of the jobs performed by subcontractors and hold them accountable to the TCH Homes quality standards

    Time management skills, along with multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem-solving capabilities

    Establish good working relationships with a variety of people, including upper management, designers, sales, trades, vendors & customers

    Possess great organizational, leadership & communication skills

    Possess the ability to supervise effectively at all levels & with a variety of personalities

    Be flexible & work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Analyze & resolve problems

    Salary: $70k - $85k per year




  • Builder

    Position Overview:

    Oversees the management and coordination of quality-built homes from development through final construction on a timely and economically sound basis per TCH standards.

    Job Responsibilities: 

    • Building rapport with customers while maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the building process. 
    • Coordinating and completing homebuyer reviews.
    • Managing and inspecting the quality of work that is performed by subcontractors. 
    • Be able to work closely with the sales team, as well as all other TCH team members
    • Maintain a clean, professional, and organized job site. 
    • Involvement in selection, coordination, oversight and the management of people, materials, budgets, schedules and contracts. 
    • Oversee worker productivity and compliance with building/safety codes. 
    • Must be able to understand contracts, plans, construction methods and regulations. 
    • Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly reports. 

    Requirements: 

    • 2+ years of field management preferred
    • Prior residential production building experience
    • Proven leadership ability 
    • Must be efficient in time management skills, along with multi-tasking, prioritizing and problem solving capabilities

    Must be experienced in: 

    • Scheduling and supervising subcontractors.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Effectively communicating with and interacting with customers, as well as the sales team. 
    • Handling subcontractor payroll and other budgetary responsibilities. 
  • Area Construction Manager

    $5,000 SIGNING BONUS

    Position Overview:

    • Provide operational leadership of all construction activities for an assigned geographic area of the division reporting directly to the Director of Construction
    • Hire, train, coach and motivate assigned construction staff
    • Drive operational efficiencies to include cycle times, construction extras, customer satisfaction and quality control
    • Work collaboratively with all functional peers as a member of the Construction Team to ensure achievement of department and business goals
    • Act as hands on leader, getting involved in front line work when needed
    • Identify and analyze trends in service work
    • Develop and implement programs to correct errors and trends
    • Establish and maintain effective subcontractor relations
    • Act as liaison between Field Managers and the Director of Construction

    Key Responsibilities:

    Key DutiesProvide operational leadership to direct reports in assigned areas

    • Ensure that construction department is staffed and competent in technical, administrative and customer satisfaction skills
    • Ensure that construction activities are performed in cost-effective manner
    • Work in conjunction with the Purchasing team to on-board new trade partners
    • Team with Sales/Purchasing/Finance to ensure coordination and problem solving between the respective departments
    • Support Land Development
    • Work collaboratively with members of divisional leadership team and corporate team as requested
    • Ensure that assigned work sites comply with safety program and other regulatory requirements
    • Team with assigned Sales Agents to ensure high satisfaction level in Customer Service
    • Proactively communicate any construction, customer service or safety issues to Vice President of Construction with suggestions for resolution
    • Proactively manage production levels and adequate staffing to deliver your respective Area closing budget
    • Maintain warranty service completion at or below established goal
    • Develop and implement a process which allows service trends to be analyzed, root causes identified, and appropriate corrections made
    • Maintain warranty expenses within assigned budget
    • Proactively communicate any construction, customer service or safety issues to the Vice President of Construction
    • Provide first level resolution to customer and trade concerns, by directly contacting the customer or vendor with needs
    • Miscellaneous projects as assigned by supervisor

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Knowledgeable about the construction industry including construction cost, materials, products, methods and procedures.
    • Must have thorough knowledge of the trades, crafts and equipment needed to complete the job, plus the ability to identify potential problems.
    • Knowledge and familiarity with blueprints, construction drawings and addendum and reading same required.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize several tasks without compromising quality of work or mission deadlines.
    • Proven organization skills in a high paced work environment.
    • Ability to review, analyze and interpret information as well as trouble-shoot to solve problems.
    • Knowledge of Business English and ability to communicate patiently and professionally with both internal and external customers both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize several tasks without compromising quality of work or mission deadlines.
    • Ability to adapt in a changing workplace.
    • Computer literacy 

    Desired Candidate Qualifications:

    • Experienced senior builder history
    • Prefer Experience as an Area Construction Manager
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to handle high volume situations
    • Maintain an adaptable and flexible attitude
    • Strong work ethic, drive, positive attitude, and decision-making skills
    • Comfortable with use of computers and technology
